10is Academy is a tennis club in Ely built for families, juniors and competitive adults who actually want to improve, not just “have a hit”.
We combine a family‑friendly atmosphere with serious, Spanish‑inspired coaching and a holistic Italian approach – so players of all ages can grow in confidence, character and skill.
Why we exist
10is Academy was created to be the club we wished existed:
- A place where children feel safe, seen and supported
- A place where adults can take their tennis seriously without ego or snobbery
- A place where progress is clear, but joy is never optional
We believe tennis is more than a sport. It’s a way to build resilience, focus, teamwork and pride – on and off the court.
Our coaching philosophy
We don’t do random drills or “just hit for an hour”.
Our coaching is built on:
- Movement first: Spanish‑style footwork and court coverage so players are always in position and ready for the next ball.
- Technical clarity: Simple, repeatable technique that holds up under pressure – not over‑complicated tips.
- Tactical understanding: Clear singles and doubles frameworks so players know what they’re trying to do, not just where to stand.
- Holistic development: An Italian‑influenced, whole‑person approach: mindset, respect, effort, and enjoyment matter as much as forehands.
Small groups, clear standards, and honest feedback are non‑negotiable.
Who we coach
We work with:
- Juniors (3–16): from first racket to confident match players
- Adults: beginners, improvers and strong club players
- Competitive adults: performance pathway for serious league and tournament players
- Families: parents and children sharing the court together
Whether you’re starting from scratch or chasing county titles, we’ll place you in the right group with the right coach.
