As 10is Academy approaches its third birthday this September, we're excited to announce the launch of "10is Academy's Family Tennis Day" program. Since our founding, we’ve consistently led the way in bringing innovative programs to the tennis community in Ely. This year, we're expanding and opening up our family events to make an even greater impact. While we won’t celebrate this milestone with a party, we're marking the occasion by deepening our commitment to the Ely community through these regular family gatherings.
Autumn Tennis Harvest: The series kicks off in September with the “Autumn Tennis Harvest,” where families can enjoy a range of autumn-themed games such as “Pumpkin Smash” and “Corn Maze Rally.” These interactive sessions are perfect for families wanting to spend quality time together while staying active. Each event, lasting 1.5 hours, is open to both members and non-members, with a fee of £10 for one parent and one child. Club members receive a 50% discount.
Following the Autumn Tennis Harvest, families can look forward to a variety of themed events throughout the year, including October’s “Tennis Trick or Treat,” November’s “Bonfire Tennis Night,” and December’s “Holiday Tennis Wonderland.” Each event is designed to bring families together on the court, creating lasting memories and fostering a love for tennis across generations.
10is Academy has successfully hosted family events in the past, though only three times per year and exclusively for its members. The positive response to those events inspired us to make them a regular feature and to open them up, allowing more families to enjoy these special moments together.
Importantly, all proceeds from the family events will be directed towards funding tennis coaching at local schools. Since its founding three years ago, 10is Academy has been dedicated to making tennis accessible to everyone, and this expansion of our family events is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
In addition to these family events, 10is Academy offers a wide range of classes suitable for everyone, from junior players to adult beginners. We strive to make tennis accessible to all by providing tennis rackets during lessons, helping to keep costs low for participants. Our membership options are diverse, with Junior memberships starting at £35 per year, Adult memberships from £95 per year, and Family memberships starting at £148.50 per year.
Our club is guided by the motto, “Creating a playful world through tennis for everyone in Ely,” which reflects our commitment to making tennis enjoyable for all. This philosophy is central to our success, as we believe that instilling a love for the game through fun and engaging experiences is key to developing skilled players. It has also led to significant achievements, including 16 titles won by our Junior and Adult players in the Cambridgeshire leagues over the past three years, as well as Junior players competing on the ITF Junior Tour and Adult players participating in the ITF Master Tour. We are particularly proud to host a current ATP player, recently ranked 80th in the world in doubles, who trains at our facilities when possible, underscoring the high standard of tennis at our club. Central to our success is our international coach and the coaching team he has built, bringing invaluable experience and expertise to our programs.
