Taking place at King’s Ely, this high-energy event welcomed world-renowned ATP coach David O’Hare, just days after coaching Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in a nail-biting French Open final. O’Hare brought his Grand Slam expertise straight to the heart of Ely, running clinics that had players of all levels inspired and energised.
But the magic didn’t stop there.
Vijay Sundar Prashanth, currently ranked in the ATP Doubles Top 100, joined the action for an impromptu hit with his friend and head coach, Sébastien Scaux, much to the delight of spectators and young players.

🎾 A Day for Everyone
While top-level coaching grabbed headlines, the event was truly a celebration of grassroots tennis. Free sessions ran throughout the day for kids aged 3 to 17, as well as adults looking to give the game a go. Parents, players, and newcomers all took to the courts to discover what makes 10is Academy such a special place.
Local businesses like Topspin Tennis and The Aromatherapy Company stepped up to support the event with racquet testing and relaxing sports massages, while Wilson—yes, the global giant—also backed the event, proving that even the biggest names in tennis believe in the academy’s mission.
“We’re proud to be based at King’s Ely bu we are open to everyone,” said Academy Director Sébastien Scaux. “Whether you're three or sixty-three, there’s a place for you here.”

🏆 The Match That Almost Got Missed
In the middle of the day’s buzz, one match quietly unfolded into an absolute epic: the U11 boys’ National League fixture against Cambourne.
After a 1–1 singles split, the doubles came down to a super tiebreak—and what a tiebreak it was. The boys battled point-for-point until 10is Academy clinched it, 17–15, in what one coach called “the mini-Roland Garros Final.”
“It wasn’t Alcaraz vs. Sinner,” said one grinning parent, “but it had the same fire, the same nerves, and the same pure desire to win.”

🏛️ A Cause That Matters
Also attending was local MP Charlotte Cane, who has been a powerful voice for improving local sports and community spaces. She came to soak in the atmosphere—and show her support for the Academy’s ongoing battle to secure planning permission for a permanent venue.
“This is more than just a club,” she said. “It’s a hub of energy, opportunity, and belonging.”
Whether you came for the pros, the free coaching, or just the vibes—this was a day that proved why 10is Academy is Ely’s beating tennis heart.
