Matches will be scheduled for Thursdays at either 8pm or 9pm as part of the "Mix In Beginners & Improvers" event. If both players agree, matches can also be organized at a different time.

Scoring system

• 1 point for a loss
• 3 points for a win
• An additional 5 points will be awarded to players who have completed 3 matches before the mid-season (date to be announced)
• An additional 5 points will be awarded to players who have played all of their matches by the end of the league.

Entry fee

Participation is free of charge.

Balls

Players are kindly requested to bring good quality balls for the matches. The balls do not have to be new.

Format

We will be using the 1 SET FAST 4 format for the matches.

What is Fast4 Tennis?

Fast4 Tennis is a simple, exciting way of speeding up a conventional tennis match. The fundamentals of tennis remain the same, but there are four rules that ensure matches are fast, competitive, exciting and can be completed in a reasonable period of time.

The rules

1. The first to four games wins! It doesn’t matter how you get there, just make sure you do before your opponent does!
2. Tie breaker at 3 games all. At 3 games all a tiebreak is played to 7 points. A deciding point will be played at 6 points all.
3. No advantage scoring. If the score reaches deuce, it’s a sudden death point. The receiver choses which side to take the serve on.
